Austrian Olympic Luge Coach Visit

Holy Name was honored to have the Austrian Olympic Luge Coach visit today and explain the sport to grades 5-8.  Veronika Halder is a two-time Olympic athlete, and coached the Austrian team to three medals in the recent Winter Olympics in South Korea! She explained more about the sport, and the USA National Coach Keith Whitman even gave demonstrations of the equipment.  Each student was given a pass for one free luge down Lucy Hill at the USA National training site in Negaunee, MI.   For more information, go to www.upluge.org

Congratulations to the 2018 Science Olympiad Team!  

Holy Name Middle School students competed against 11 other Upper Peninsula teams at the regional tournament. 

Holy Name won 5 events at the competition on Saturday.
